Journal Entry:

What day is today? Monday? Monday October 6th. The day after Sirena’s 10th birthday. Today on our journey we drove four hours from aunt Kates house in Maryland to West Virginia. We set up camp right on a lake at the Briar Point Campground. Little did we know we’d be virtually sandwiched between two cemeteries. Directly downhill from one. Luckily, neither Kevin or I are seriously bothered.

We unpacked, set up camp, and caught our first moonrise over the mountains. Truly beautiful! I headed to bed early and Kevin sat and watched the fire die down. We had some issued with the battery bank so switched to the smallest one. Hope the battery lasts. Goodnight.

In the morning we caught the sun rise over those same mountains. A horrible nights sleep for me but a beautiful experience overall.
